Our of Colorado

Bringing back this song from the soundtrack for today

We spent most of the day heading east on rt 80 through Nebraska. I think we took like 5 turns and saw two hills before we got to Lincoln.

Also, quick question for anyone that knows birds. We saw lots of geese migrating, but then also saw lots of other big gray birds that logged like cranes or herons, maybe lots of young ones two? They were mostly out in fields as we were driving by, so we didn't get a great look at them. Do herons migrate through Nebraska this time of year??

(Edit: heard from a reliable source that it's the sandhill crane migration)

  1. the large grey birds were probably sandhill cranes. If the geese weren't Canada geese they were likely snow geese. I think driving through Kansas or Nebraska is a practice in patience.
